Das tolle Frühlingswetter hat überall die Krokusse hervorgelockt… Passend dazu habe ich einen kleinen Keilrahmen (15×15cm) frühlingshaft gestaltet. Der Hintergrund wird gebildet aus kleinen Stücken Kleisterpapier, Gelliprint, handgeschöpftem Papier, Geschenkpapier und Seidenpapier mit durchgerubbelten Mustern. Am unteren Rand ein kleines Stück Tortenspitze. Die oberste Schicht besteht aus den Krokusblüten, die ich aus einem alten Blumenbuch ausgeschnitten habe, und ein paar Akzenten mit weißem Metallic-Liner. Unten: die Aussenkante wurde mit Spitzenborte verkleidet.
Sunny spring days have caused the crocusses to bloom, which have been the inspiration for a small collage on canvas: for the background I’ve used paste papers, gelli print, handmade paper, tissue paper with rubbings and a tiny bit of a commercial gift paper. On the bottom left a bit of paper lace. On top: the crocusses cut from an old garden book and some accents with white metallic pen. Below: the edges have been covered with a lace border.
Die im letzten Beitrag erwähnte Wanderung führte mich auch an diesem Bildstock vorbei, der so schön von der Sonne beschienen wurde, mit den ersten gelb und weiß blühenden Sträuchern daneben, dass er einfach gezeichnet werden musste…
During the hiking tour mentioned in my last post, I passed this wayside shrine. With the sun illuminating it and the first bushes blooming white and yellow, I just had to sketch it!
Kurz vor der Hochablassbrücke in Augsburg-Hochzoll bietet sich dieser Blick auf den Lech, der im Winter nur wenig Wasser führt, und die Bahnbrücke im Hintergrund.
Near a pedestrian bridge over the dam called „Hochablass“ in the part of Augsburg where I live, this view shows the river Lech. In winter, it is narrow and shallow, leaving a part of its bed bare. In the background you see the train bridge.
Dies Wochenende habe ich mal wieder in Amberg bei meiner Mutter verbracht. Ein gemeinsamer Spaziergang führte uns diesmal ins LGS-Gelände (ehem. Landesgartenschau), wo ganz kurz die Sonne ein wenig durch die Wolken guckte und uns diese Ansicht bescherte.
Spending this weekend with my mother in Amberg, we took a little walk near the river where years ago a garden exhibition had taken place. The area is still beautiful with nice paths and ponds. When the sun came out just a bit for some minutes, we were offered this view.
Diese kleinen Landschaften werden mal wieder als Postkarten dienen… Sie sind – teils recht frei – nach eigenen Fotos entstanden. Dies kleine Format eignet sich prima, wenn man wenig Zeit hat und verschiedenes üben möchte.

Um die Karten ohne Umschlag verschicken zu können, habe ich die feuchtigkeitsempfindlichen Farben geschützt, indem ich die Vorderseite laminiert habe.
To be able to send the cards without envelopes, I’ve protected the colours from rain and humidity by laminating the front.
Nachdem ich eine Großpackung mit 14 kleinen Leinwandplatten (ca. 7,5x18cm) günstig erstanden hatte, habe ich heute gleich ein paar davon bemalt. Enstanden sind 3 leicht abstrahierte Seelandschaften und 3 Blumenmotive:

Dies Bild ist eine Erinnerung an letztes Frühjahr, als ich in meinem Stadtteil mit dem Fotoapparat unterwegs war… Ob der Flieder dieses Jahr wieder so üppig blühen wird?

Die Gorge du Verdon ist eine tiefe Schlucht in der Provence, auf deren Grund der türkisfarbene Fluss Verdon dem Stausee Lac de Sainte-Croix entgegenfliesst. Mein Besuch dort ist etliche Jahre her, aber wenn es klappt, werde ich nächstes Jahr nochmal Urlaub in der Provence machen…😊
This canyon, formed by the turquoise river Verdon, is situated in Provence. Here you see the river flowing into the reservoir lake of Sainte-Croix. My last visit there was many years ago, but hopefully next year I’ll be able to pass my vacation in Provence once again 😊
Während es heute draußen stürmt und regnet, habe ich mich mir ein paar Fotos als Inspirationsquelle für Aquarellpostkarten herausgesucht. Das erste stammt aus einem Park, die beiden anderen sind mediterrane Motive – von Fotos aus Südfrankreich. Urlaubsstimmung!!
With storm and rain outside today, I’ve selected some photos from my stash as reference for watercolour postcards. The first one is a parc scene, the others show mediterranian motives, from photos taken in the South of France… Dreaming of my next vacation!!
