Gestern machte ich mit einer Freundin einen Ausflug ins Allgäu, genauer, in die Nähe von Altusried. Ein schöner, längerer Spaziergang entlang der Iller und durch Dörfer bot bei herrlichem Wetter tolle Aussichten.
Yesterday, a friend took me for a daytrip in the Allgäu region, near Altusried. Taking a long walk along the river Iller and through villages, the nice weather presented us with great views.
Das zweite Bild zeigt die Hängebrücke über die Iller, welche wir zu Beginn unserer Wanderung überquerten.
The second picture shows the suspension bridge over the Iller which we had crossed at the start of our walk.
Heute war ein sehr sonniger Tag, sodass ich mal wieder einen längeren Spaziergang im Landkreis Friedberg unternahm. Dort ist es sanft hügelig und sehr abwechslungsreich mit Feldern, Wald, Wiesen, hier und da eine Scheune oder ein Stapel Holz, etc. Das obige Bild ist naturgetreu; das hohe Schilf o.ä. wird seit einigen Jahren stehen gelassen, um Tieren, auch Vögeln, im Winter einen Rückzugsort zu bieten. Bei diesem Bild kam mein Fächerpinsel sehr reichlich zum Einsatz!
On this sunny day I decided to take a longer walk in the countryside near Friedberg. I like it there because of the soft rolling hills, the interesting patterns of fields, meadows, woods and some sheds or wood stacks here and there etc. The picture above realistically shows todays atmosphere; the tall reed in the foreground is grown and left standing during winter as a shelter for birds and other animals. For this picture I’ve made extensive use of my fan brush!
Die kleine Kapelle steht im Dorf Rohrbach. Wenn ich dienstlich unterwegs bin, fahre ich oft daran vorbei; heute stand sie im vollen Sonnenlicht, das nützte ich für ein Foto. Beim Zeichnen habe ich aber etwas gemogelt: die Büsche und Bäume hatten noch kein Laub, das habe ich hinzugefügt. Tatsächlich ist die Kirche im Sommer hinter dem dichten Laub oft kaum zu sehen..
This small chapel is situated in a village I pass almost every day when visiting the elderly. Today I caught it in full sunlight. In this picture I’ve added the foliage of the tree and the bushes which actually still were bare. But in summer the foliage of the trees almost hides the chapel from view…
Den heutigen Tag habe ich mir freigehalten, um mich mal wieder ganz in Ruhe meiner kreativen Leidenschaft zu widmen. Vormittags habe ich zunächst ein kleines Stillleben (oben) gemalt, denn ich wollte endlich den bereits seit Längerem vorhandenen Rahmen füllen; der Ausschnitt des Passepartouts ist nur 15×15, so ein Bild hatte ich bisher nicht.
Lazy Sunday? Well, I didn’t work today, that’s right, but I was very busy with my creative passions! In the morning I just did a small still life (above), because I wanted to fill the frame I’ve had for some time already. The opening in the frame just is 15x15cm, until now I didn’t have a matching picture.
Dann ging es an die größere „Arbeit“: ich wollte endlich mal ganz in Ruhe mit meiner Gelli-plate Buntpapiere in Monoprint-Technik herstellen. Wenn die Platte, Farben, Papiere und alle Werkzeuge, Schablonen etc. vorbereitet sind, dann ist der Tisch voll! Nun lohnt sich das auch nur, wenn man ein paar Stunden dranbleiben kann, und das habe ich heute genossen – siehe oben! Schön ist, dass ich bei dieser Technik auch teilweise meine Erfahrung mit der Gestaltung von Kleisterpapier einbringen kann. 20 Bögen habe ich gestaltet.
Then a more time-consuming „work“ lay ahead: monoprinring with my gelli-plate. With all the utensils, the plate, papers, stencils and colours my table was loaded! So this only makes sense when I’m able to spend some hours creating prints. Today I did 20 sheets – see above! For the gelli-prints I can even use some of my paste-paper techniques.
Mit diesen ganzen frischen Buntpapieren musste ich dann natürlich auch gleich ein paar Collagen machen. Oben: 30x40cm, mit gepressten Blättern und Blüten. Unten: zwei kleine Collagen (13×18cm), die einzeln oder nebeneinander gut aussehen.
All these fresh and colourful papers inspired me to start collaging: above, 30x40cm, with pressed leaves and flowers, below: two small ones (13×18cm) that look nice as singles or matching pair.
Beim Spazieren durch Burnaby, einer Vorstadt von Vancouver (Geburtsstadt von Michael Bublé😉), fand ich auch etliche nette Motive, unter anderem diesen alten Wagen, der wohl einem Bastler gehörte…
