Inzwischen habe ich noch ein paar weitere kleine Motive für Postkarten gemalt, zwei in Aquarell (oben und unten), weitere in Acryl (weiter unten). Momentan kann ich nicht entscheiden, was mir besser gefällt, beides macht soviel Spaß!
Meanwhile, I’ve done some more painted postcards, two watercolours (above and directly below) as well as some acrylics (further down). Somehow, I just can’t tell what I prefer – both are so much fun!
Nachdem ich eine Großpackung mit 14 kleinen Leinwandplatten (ca. 7,5x18cm) günstig erstanden hatte, habe ich heute gleich ein paar davon bemalt. Enstanden sind 3 leicht abstrahierte Seelandschaften und 3 Blumenmotive:

Da die Rückseite mit Schreibpapier beklebt ist, kann ich sie prima als Postkarten verwenden!

Die Gorge du Verdon ist eine tiefe Schlucht in der Provence, auf deren Grund der türkisfarbene Fluss Verdon dem Stausee Lac de Sainte-Croix entgegenfliesst. Mein Besuch dort ist etliche Jahre her, aber wenn es klappt, werde ich nächstes Jahr nochmal Urlaub in der Provence machen…😊
This canyon, formed by the turquoise river Verdon, is situated in Provence. Here you see the river flowing into the reservoir lake of Sainte-Croix. My last visit there was many years ago, but hopefully next year I’ll be able to pass my vacation in Provence once again 😊
Während es heute draußen stürmt und regnet, habe ich mich mir ein paar Fotos als Inspirationsquelle für Aquarellpostkarten herausgesucht. Das erste stammt aus einem Park, die beiden anderen sind mediterrane Motive – von Fotos aus Südfrankreich. Urlaubsstimmung!!
With storm and rain outside today, I’ve selected some photos from my stash as reference for watercolour postcards. The first one is a parc scene, the others show mediterranian motives, from photos taken in the South of France… Dreaming of my next vacation!!
Nach einem Foto, das mir die Mutter meiner Enkel von ihrer Mutter-Kind-Kur auf Rügen geschickt hatte. Wie man sieht, können sich gerade Kinder, entsprechend angezogen, auch bei Wind und Wetter ganz wunderbar am Strand beschäftigen…
This watercolour has been done from a reference photo the mother of my grandchildren had sent me. They had spent a winter holiday on the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea. As you see, kids – dressed accordingly – love to play on the beach for hours even in cold and windy weather….
Ein weiteres Winterbild, inspiriert von meinem Spaziergang im Friedberger Umland. Diesmal entstand es aus dem Kopf, nicht nach einem Foto. Diese Verkehrszeichen standen dort überall herum, daher habe ich eines mit ins Bild gesetzt.
Another winter watercolour, inspired by my walk in the surroundings of Friedberg. This time, there was no reference photo, I did it from memory – even the sign, because there are lots of these in the area.
Als es hier vor Weihnachten Schnee gab, hatte ich die Frau auf dem Feldweg fotografiert. Interessant fand ich dabei auch die – für die Jahreszeit – ungewöhnlich „bunte“ Stelle mit dem Felsen und den Bänken. Da haben die Landschaftsarchitekten gute Arbeit geleistet bei der Auswahl der Büsche und Bäume!
In Mid-December, when there was snow here, I had taken the photo that now has been reference for this watercolour. I was a bit intrigued by the unusually colourful spot with the rock and the benches. Well, the landscape architects must have chosen the trees and brushes quite deliberately!
Heute kam endlich mal die Sonne heraus, das nützte ich für einen langen Spaziergang auf dem Land. Die Pony-Reiterin mit ihrer roten Jacke brachte einen leuchtenden Farbklecks in die Landschaft.
Today the sun came out after several gray days, so I went for a long walk in the fields. The girl on her pony made for a bit of bright colour in the landscape thanks to her red jacket.
Da ich dienstlich viel auf dem Land unterwegs bin, kann ich oft schöne Stimmungen genießen. Eine alte Dame, die ich täglich versorge, hat diesen Blick aus ihrem Fenster. An einem besonders schönen Morgen zückte ich mein Handy für ein schnelles Foto, das ich nun mit Acryl auf Leinwand gebracht habe.
In my job, I have to visit many people in the surrounding villages, so quite often I get to see the landscape in beautiful light. This is the view from the window of an elderly lady I visit each day. One morning it was so beautiful I took a fast photo with my phone. Today, I’ve used acrylics on canvas for this picture.
Augsburgs Nachbarstadt Friedberg besitzt nicht nur eine hübsche Altstadt, sondern auch eine Wallfahrtskirche, „Herrgottsruh“. Mir gefiel dieser Blick wegen des natürlichen Rahmens.
The small town of Friedberg is Augsburg’s next neighbour. Apart from a nice old part of town it also offers a pilgrimage church, called „Herrgottsruh“. I like this view because of the natural „frame“.
