Schon länger hatte ich mit dem Gedanken gespielt, Briefpapier mit kleinen Collagen zu verzieren. Als ich nun im Sozialkaufhaus dieses leicht angegilbte, hellblaue Briefpapier fand, war das die Gelegenheit, es endlich zu versuchen.
Since I’d been playing with the idea of embellishing stationary with little collages, I grabbed the occasion when I found this light blue, a little yellowed stationary in the thrift store/charity shop.
Nachdem ich bereits das blaue Papier und besonders die Umschläge mit Stückchen Papier aus alten Büchern, Ephemera, Washi-Tape, gepressten Blüten, Blumenstickern etc. verziert hatte, habe ich mir auch noch ein paar B6 Karten und Umschläge vorgenommen, die ich noch übrig hatte.
After some hours working on the blue paper and envelopes, using papers from old books, ephemera, washi tape, pressed flowers and flower stickers, etc, I was hooked and continued with some larger cards and envelopes from my stash.
Das hat sehr viel Spass gemacht, und man kann dafür wirklich jedes kleine Fitzelchen verwenden! Nur muss man darauf achten, dass die Umschläge ein sehr deutlich abgesetztes Beschriftungsfeld für die Adresse und freien Platz für die Briefmarken haben, sonst können sie in der Post nicht transportiert werden: die automatische Erkennung funktioniert dann nicht.
This was great fun – and every little piece of paper can be used. You just have to put a clearly marked space for the adress on the envelopes and keep some space for the stamps, otherwise they can’t be processed by the post office.
