Während meines Urlaubs im Juni habe ich auch einen wunderschönen Morgen im „Blühenden Barock“ verbracht. Einer der Eingänge ist schon ab 7.30 Uhr offen, überall anders bekommt man erst ab 9.00 Karten und Zutritt.
During my vacation in June, I spent a delightful morning in this park, also called „Baroque in Bloom“. Having done some research first, I knew that there was one side entrance where you get tickets and can enter already from 7.30 am. (Everywhere else from 9.00 am)
Der Rosengarten vor dem Schloss war natürlich im Morgenlicht besonders schön!

Allerdings wurden die Brunnen erst etwas später angestellt.
The fountains, however, start working a bit later.
Auf einer Terrasse, am Übergang zum hinteren Landschaftsgarten, malte ich dann die Blumen vor dem Hintergrund der gegenüberliegenden Häuser:
On a terrace, at the transition from the baroque garden to the landscape gardens behind the palace, I sketched the flowers in front of the houses on the other side of the street:

Und der Landschaftsgarten ist groß! Was ihn von den Gärten unterscheidet, die ich im Juni ebenfalls besucht und hier vorgestellt habe, ist vor allem, dass er sehr hügelig ist.
And the landscape garden is large! Compared with the other gardens I have visited in June and described in this blog, this one offers a lot of ups and downs to walk.
Natürlich gehört auch eine künstliche Ruine dazu… im Inneren – ja, man kann innen die Treppe gehen – sind Märchen dargestellt, denn unterhalb des Turns befindet sich ein sehr schöner Märchengarten. Dort habe ich keine Fotos gemacht: er war sonntags zu voll!
Of course, an artificial romantic building is almost a must… You can enter it, and using the inner staircase there are fairy-tale themed pictures. Directly below the tower, there’s a nice fairy tale garden for kids but I didn’t take pictures: it was crowded on Sunday…
Es gibt auch einen kleinen Japangarten (unten), doch der in Augsburg ist größer und schöner .
There also is a Japanese Garden (below), but not as beautiful and as large as the one in Augsburg.
Ein kleiner Bereich zeigt ein altes Gewächshaus und Beete, wo Pflanzen herangezogen werden.
A small part is dedicated to the old glass house and flower beds where they grow fresh plants.
Weitere Gebäude, Skulpturen etc. bieten immer neue Motive.
Some more different buildings and statues make for interesting views.
Und Wasser darf auch nicht fehlen!
Water, of course, is „mandatory“, too!

Übrigens ist dieser Park auch Weltkulturerbe. Ein Besuch lohnt sich – mit oder ohne Schlossführung!
By the way: this park is World Cultural Heritage. A visit is worth while – also in combination with a guided tour of the palace.
