Ja, ich kann’s nicht lassen, jede freie Minute wird grad gezeichnet und gemalt… Mit unterschiedlichen Resultaten:

Hier wollte ich den Moment des Abhebens spürbar machen – und ich muss sagen, dass das auf dem Bild besser rüberkommt als auf dem Foto, das als Vorlage diente. Und zwar, weil ich das ganze Drumherum von Gebäuden, Fahrzeugen und Zäunen weggelassen habe, was beim Fotografieren ja nicht möglich war.

Here I wanted to emphasize the moment of take off – which, I think, was quite successful, more so than on the photo which had been the inspiration. It worked by neglecting the buildings, fences and cars that I hadn’t been able to avoid taking the photo.

Die Aras sind an sich nicht schlecht; doch das Gefieder und vor allem der Hintergrund sind noch recht ungeschickt…

These macaws aren’t too bad, but the feathers and most of all the background need improoving…

Mit diesem Bild (Leuchtturm auf Vancouver Island) bin ich besonders zufrieden – es ist so luftig geworden, wie ich es gern mag, auch die Steine passen diesmal 🙂 So, nun muss ich aber auch mal wieder an die Nähmaschine, und der nächste Beitrag ist dann wieder was Textiles…

This picture (Lighthouse on Vancouver Island) I’m quite proud of: nearly achieved the loose way I like – even the stones are ok this time 🙂  Anyway, now I’ve got to go back to my sewing machine – my next post will be something textile once again…
