Diese alte kleine Glasvase hatte ich im Sozialkaufhaus gefunden. Sie bekam ein Dekor aus Schneeflocken, die ich frei Hand mit weißer Plusterfarbe aufgetragen habe (zum Nachmachen: das Glas vorher mit Spiritus gut reinigen/entfetten und dann nur noch innen und am Rand berühren!). Nach dem Trocknen wird die Farbe mit heißem Fön geplustert: so kommt die „Fluffigkeit“ des Schnees besonders gut zur Geltung. Innen hat der Boden genau Platz für ein großes Teelicht. Eine aufgeklebte Spitzenborte am Hals rundet das Bild ab.

This small, vintage vase from the charity shop/thrift store has been embellished with puff paint snowflakes. First, the glass has to be cleaned with methylated spirit to remove any grease! Then I drew the snowflakes by hand. After drying, the puff paint has been activated using a hair dryer. Now the 3D-effect imitates the fluffy texture of snow. The inner bottom offers exactly enough space for a large tea candle and a lace border has been used for the finished look.
