Auch die Fotostrecke muss ich in mehrere Beiträge aufteilen, sonst wird es zuviel. An einem der ersten Tage war ich in Sonogno, dem obersten Ort im Verzascatal und nicht weit entfernt von meiner Unterkunft in Gerra/Verzasca. Der Ort hat typische alte Häuser und pittoreske Gassen:
Since I took a lot of photos during my week in Ticino, I’ll post them always just some at a time. One of the first days I visited the village of Sonogno which is situated up at the end of the Verzasca valley and not far from the village of Gerra, where I was staying. Sonogno shows typical old houses and picturesque alleyways:

Wenn man im oberen Bild genau hinsieht, erkennt man unterhalb des oberen Teils des Wasserfalls eine Brücke, die bietet einen Anhaltspunkt zum Größenverhältnis… Unten noch ein Bild, das nicht zu Sonogno gehört, denn der Staudamm befindet sich im unteren Bereich des Tals:

Wem der Damm bekannt vorkommt der ist wahrscheinlich James Bond-Fan, denn hier sprang er in „Golden Eye“ am Seil hinunter… Tatsächlich wird hier Bungee-Jumping auch angeboten, doch für mich ist das nichts… Jedenfalls ist er schon beeindruckend, mit 220m Höhe gehört er nicht nur zu den höchsten in Europa, sondern auch in der Welt. (Unterhalb der Bäume geht es noch ganz schön weiter in die Tiefe!)
If you feel you know this dam, you’re most probably a fan of James Bond: it was here that the scene in „Golden Eye“ was taken where he jumps from the dam on a bungee cord… Actually, you can do the same because bungee jumping is an activity offered here! Well, that’s nothing for me… Anyway, this dam has a height of 220 meters and thus belongs to the highest ones in Europe and even the world. (Where it is hidden behind the trees on the photo, it still goes down a long way!)
