This creek near Engelberg, Switzerland, is called Aa (pronounced „Uhh“). For German ears, too, that’s a weird name, but one that’s based on an ancient name for large creeks or small rivers. The summits of mounts Hahnen (left) and Spannort (in the middle of the background) are recognizable landmarks.
