So, da bin ich wieder, nach langer Abstinenz – die letzten Wochen waren in der Arbeit sehr anstrengend, ich hatte kaum Freizeit. Doch jetzt sind 2 Wochen Urlaub angesagt! Anfang August war ich ja zur Einschulung meines Enkels nach Sachsen gefahren; da ich jedoch keine Bilder meiner Enkel oder sonstiger Familienmitglieder ins Netz stellen will (man weiß ja nie, was das mal für Folgen haben kann), zeige ich hier nur ein paar Landschaftsbilder, die bei einem Spaziergang in Mügeln (ein Dorf zwischen Dresden und Leipzig) entstanden sind – Sommer pur!
Hi, here’s me back online – after several tough weeks on the job I’m now on two weeks of vacation, at last! Some weeks ago I went to Saxony for my grand-son’s first school day; nevertheless I don’t want to show pictures of him or other family members (you never know what consequences that might have some day). So instead here are some photos I’ve taken on a walk in Mügeln (a village between Dresden and Leipzig). A great summer’s day!
Fast 30 Jahre nach der Wende hat sich im Osten zwar vieles deutlich herausgeputzt und verändert, aber – was ich schön finde – es ist noch nicht alles so „geschniegelt“ wie z.B. in Bayern. Ein gewisser Charme durch altes Gemäuer, den man zwar in England und Frankreich, aber in Deutschland kaum noch findet, macht die Landschaft und Orte dort liebenswert. (Das hier mal im Gegensatz zu den Bildern aus Chemnitz etc…)
Almost 30 years after the German reunification most communities in Eastern Germany look much more modern and neat than before, but not as picture-perfect as for example in Bavaria, which I find intriguing. There still exists the charming look of old buildings etc., like you find in England and France, but rarely in the rest of Germany. (So these pictures, emanating peace and calm, are a contrast to those currently on the news from Chemnitz etc.)
