Hallo, Ihr Lieben, da bin ich mal wieder – ist schon eine Weile her seit letztem Beitrag. Aber ich glaube, man sieht mir nach, dass ich bei der Hitze weder sehr produktiv war noch große Lust hatte, am Computer zu sitzen! Eines allerdings habe ich gemacht: zur Einschulung meines Enkels sollte es etwas Originelles sein – so entstand dieses T-Shirt im Graffitti-Look. (Eine Schultüte bekommt er schon von den Eltern..)

Hi everybody, it’s been some time since my last post… Hopefully you’ll understand that in this summer heat I wasn’t very creative nor felt like sitting at the computer! That said, there’s one thing I’ve done: for my grandson’s first schoolday I wanted to make something special –  this graffitti-style tee is the result. (He’ll get the obligatory school cone from his parents)

Wie praktisch, dass ich vor kurzem von einer Freundin ein paar T-Shirt-Malstifte bekommen hatte, hier waren sie genau richtig!

Just some weeks ago a friend had given me some t-shirt marker pens she didn’t use – they came in just handy now!

Der Rücken bekam einen „Schulranzen“ mit seinem Namen. Da ich das rein weiße Shirt nur im Doppelpack mit einem gemusterten bekommen hatte, wollte ich Letzteres eigentlich einfach so mit dazulegen – doch dann fiel mir in meinem Fundus dieses kleine gehäkelte Äpfelchen in die Hände:

On the back I placed a sketch of a school bag with my grandson’s name on it. Since I had to buy a set of two shirts to get a pure white one, I first wanted to add the coloured one just as it was – but then I discovered this small crocheted apple in my stash:

Und da die Schule, die mein Enkel von nun an besucht, „Apfelbaumschule“ heißt, dachte ich, das passt doch schön!

Since the school my grandson will go to, is called „Apple Tree School“, this is a nice touch, don’t you think?

So, nun bin ich gespannt – morgen fahre ich die 400km, um am Samstag bei der Einschulungsfeier dabeizusein 🙂 !

Well, now I’m looking forward to the first school day on Saturday – I’ll drive the 400kms for the celebration 🙂 !
