Ein Stoffrest aus feiner Baumwolle, der mir schon vor Jahren wegen seines fröhlich-bunten Regatta-Motivs gut gefallen hatte, kommt nun endlich zur Geltung! Kombiniert mit einem weißen Stretch-Popeline ist das nun meine Lieblingsbluse für den kommenden Sommer:
A remnant of fine cotton fabric which I had purchased years ago because of the colourful regatta-themed print has at last found its ultimate purpose! Combined with a similarly fine white stretch cotton it now makes for my favorite summer blouse:
Den Stoffrest habe ich für den Rücken verwendet und für die Passe, außerdem reichte es noch, um Paspelsteifen zu schneiden. Diese habe ich in die vorderen Teilungsnähte sowie an den Ärmelkanten eingearbeitet. Aus den ganz kleinen Überbleibseln konnte ich noch bezogene Knöpfe machen!
I’ve used the remnant for the back and the yoke as well as for cutting piping strips which I’ve sewn into the front seams and on the sleeves. Even the last scraps were useful: for creating fabric-covered buttons!
Da zum maritimen Stil auch Goldknöpfe gehören, habe ich einfach solche zwischen die bezogenen Knöpfe gesetzt. Und um den Stil perfekt zu machen, habe ich am PC ein passendes Logo gestaltet, auf Transferfolie gedruckt und auf den linken Ärmel gebügelt:
Indispensable for the nautical style are gold tone buttons, so I’ve just put them in between the fabric-covered ones. To complete the style I created a matching Logo on my PC, printed it onto transfer foil and ironed it on the left sleeve:
