Erinnert Ihr Euch noch an das alte Scrapbook (ungefähr so alt wie ich), das ich auf einem Flohmarkt fand und etwas „aufgemöbelt“ habe? Hier zur Erinnerung:

Doch inzwischen habe ich die ersten Seiten gestaltet, nachdem ich mir ein Thema überlegt habe: jede Seite wird etwas vorstellen, das ich besonders mag. Das Inhaltsverzeichnis ist mal außergewöhnlich:

Allerdings hätte ich durchaus noch mehr aufzählen können, musste mich aber auf die verfügbaren Seiten beschränken…

To tell the truth, I could easily have listed even more favourites, but had to mind the limited amount of pages…

Der Hintergrund wurde mit Gesso behandelt, teils mit Zeitschriftenseiten beklebt, dann mit Aquarellfarben gestaltet. Darauf Collagen aus Zeitschriften und Stickern, handschriftliche Zitate zum Thema. Die Schnörkel sind mit Embossingtinte gestempelt und mit rosa-glitzerndem Pulver embossed (schwer, auf das Foto zu bekommen).

The background has been treated with Gesso, partially covered with magazine pages, then painted with watercolours. Magazine cutouts and stickers show perfume bottles and flowers, while quotes about fragrances are added in handwriting. The swirls are stamped and embossed.

Eine Seite über Kunst: der David war wichtig, damit nicht nur Malerei vertreten war! Genau wie einige Bilderrahmen ist er am PC auf Aquarellkarton gedruckt und ausgeschnitten worden, dann mit 3D-Klebeplättchen auf die Seite gebracht. Die übrigen Bilderrahmen sind mit Plusterfarbe gemalt und somit auch plastisch hervortretend. Im Laufe der Zeit werde ich Euch immer wieder mal zeigen, wie es mit dem Buch weitergeht…

A page about art: the „David“ was important to show that art is more than paintings… The sculpture as well as some of the frames are printed on watercolour paper, cut out and then fixed on the page using bits of padded tape to create a 3D-look. The other frames are painted with 3D-Liners so they, too, have a sculptural look. From time to time I will continue to show you the progress of pages in this book…
