Mein Kopf ist immer voller Ideen für Nähprojekte, die ich gar nicht alle in absehbarer Zeit verwirklichen kann. Bisher waren meine Entwürfe mal in diesem Notizbuch, mal auf jenem Blockzettel verstreut, das wollte ich nun ändern. Daher habe ich ein großes Blanko-Buch verwendet, um darin alle Ideen zu sammeln. Damit das Ganze eine ansprechende Form bekam, habe ich die Seiten mit allem Wichtigen vorgestaltet:

There is always a lot going on in my head about possible sewing projects and ideas which I’m not able to realize in the near future. Until now the drafts and sketches I made were dispersed on different notepads and sheets of paper. Now I wanted to change this. Taking a big blank book to collect my ideas, I have designed the pages to look nice and already contain some constantly recurring aspects:

Unter „Kategorie“ trage ich ein, was für ein Projekt es ist (Bluse, Tasche, etc.). Bei „Schnitt“ kann bereits ein ausgesuchter Schnitt aus meinen Heften oder ein Fertigschnitt etc. vermerkt werden. Unter „Stoffe“ sieht man die gelben Balken: das sind Stücke von doppelseitigem Klebeband, noch mit Trägerpapier darauf – hier klebe ich kleine Muster der geplanten Stoffe auf, sofern ich sie schon habe. Außerdem gibt es in der linken unteren Ecke einen Zeilenblock (aufgestempelt), wo „Sonstige Zutaten“ und „Anmerkungen“ notiert werden können. Wie an den Bildern oben zu sehen, habe ich weitere Stempel zum Thema „Nähen“ sowie ein paar Washi-Tapes zur Verzierung verwendet. Unten nochmal das Titelbild mit Beispielen meiner ersten Einträge:

As you see, I’ve created a kind of a form to fill in all necessary details about the project. The yellow bars are pieces of double-sided tape with the protecting paper still attached – they will be used for taping in small samples of the fabrics I intend to use for the project. Stamps with a sewing theme and some bits of washi tape add interest. Below the first two sketched projects (same photo as the title):

Was noch fehlt, ist die äußere Gestaltung des Buches, dazu werde ich mir auch noch etwas einfallen lassen…

One of my next projects will be to create a nice cover for the book!
