Die letzte Woche hatte ich leider keine Zeit für das Blog, doch jetzt geht es schwungvoll weiter! Da nun endlich Sommerwetter ist, passen meine beiden neuesten Nähprojekte sehr gut:
Alas, last week I was very short on time and had to neglect this blog a bit, but now I’m back with renewed enthusiasm! Since we’ve got sunny weather at last, both of my newest sewing projects are quite appropriate:
Eine 7/8 Hose aus altem Leinen und Spitze, im Vintage-Stil, verspielt wie früher die Unterwäsche 🙂
7/8 trousers (pants) using old linen and lace, vintage style – a bit like the underpants of our great-grandmothers 🙂
Und eine große Tasche, auch als Bade-/Strandtasche geeignet, aus recycelten Jeans und einem Gemälde auf Leinwand, vom Flohmarkt. Die Rosenknöpfe an den Henkeln habe ich selbst aus Shrink-Plastik hergestellt: eigene Rosenfotos am PC mit Inkjet-Drucker daraufgedruckt (deutlich größer!), ausgeschnitten, Löcher eingestanzt und im Ofen nach Anleitung geschrumpft.
A big tote, very well suited for a day on the beach, made using old denim trousers and a canvas painting from the flea market. The rose buttons on the straps are made from shrink plastic – I printed my own rose photos (much bigger) onto the shrink foil, cut them out, added holes and made them shrink in the oven.
So, und den Rest des Abends werde ich damit verbringen, die Daumen zu drücken – nicht für Fussball, sondern in der Hoffnung, dass die Briten in der EU bleiben!!
Well, now I’ll spend the rest of this evening keeping my fingers crossed – not for the socker team, but in the hope that the Brits will vote to stay in the EU!!
